Umuchinemere Procredit Microfinance Bank Holds Its 118th Board Meeting

The Board of Directors of Umuchinemere Procredit Microfinance Bank held its 118th board meeting and the first for the year on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, at the bank’s boardroom.

The meeting, which focused primarily on the fourth quarter of 2025 and the year 2025 performance in general, addressed several key matters, including the appointment one new director, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Chike Onodugo, the Ujaligwa III and the traditional ruler of Umuavulu-Abor, Udi Local Government Area, Enugu State, as a new Director of the bank, while Rev. Fr. Patrick Ozonweke (Esq) was unveiled as the Head of Legal Unit.

HRM, Igwe Ujaligwa III brings a wealth of experience to his new role, a seasoned banker, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Lecturer, and former member of the Enugu State Board of Internal Revenue Service (ESIRS).

During the meeting, the board received updates from Management and Board committees. Notably, a ratification of loans and overdrafts given to 202 clients, totalling ₦189,482,000, covering the period from December 9, 2025, to February 19, 2026.

The board also extended its congratulations to Rev. Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike, Chairman of the board, on the 45th anniversary of his Priestly Ordination as well as his 70th birthday.

This pivotal meeting underscores UPMFB’s commitment to excellence and its dedication to driving growth and development in the microfinance sector.
