The loan disbursement, totaling ₦13.5 million, was part of a monitored start-up fund and soft loan package designed to ensure graduates of the six-month agripreneurship program leave with both capital and confidence to launch sustainable agro-ventures.

The ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including the Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, and the Diocesan Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. Wilfred Agubuchie.

Speaking at the event, the Founder of Mary Agro Farms Institute, Most Rev. The partnership reinforces UPMFB’s commitment to grassroots economic empowerment, youth development, and agricultural transformation. Through this collaboration, the bank ensures that each agripreneur receives not just funding, but structured support to build viable businesses that strengthen food security.

The 27 beneficiaries completed intensive training in sustainable agricultural practices under the Institute’s program, run in affiliation with Godfrey Okoye University.
